About Us
S&C Caning in Brighton is the premier workshop in the Greater Boston/Eastern Massachusetts area for the recaning of hand-caned furniture. It was started by Sarah Correia in 1989. Sarah also redoes rush seats, but her specialty is double French cane or double blind cane which is most often found on French or American antiques. Items that S&C Caning has recaned include chairs, tables, settees, sofas, benches, and other heirloom pieces.
Sarah has done chair caning for Shreve, Crump & Low of Boston and Chestnut Hill as well as Room With A Vieux Antiques of Brookline and Beacon Hill, along with work for other noted antique dealers and many private customers from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and beyond. The workshop is located in Brighton near the Brookline town line.
